An article in the Wall Street Journal on May 9th by Elizabeth Bernstein, “Say It Again, A Mantra Really Works”, provided a solid review of the research that the thinking of a word or phrase which creates a personal affirmation can have powerful impact.  Repeating mantras can physiologically lower cortisol levels and quiet the mind.  Mantra means to think.

So, script a personal mantra and use it to center, quiet and distress.

“I am at Peace”

“Nothing is Forever”.
