The How Not To Keep A Secret peer training program has just been listed in Preventing Suicide:  A Toolkit for High Schools.  The toolkit is published by the U.S.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.  It lists best practice suicide prevention programs across the United States.   After HNTKAS was presented at the annual Massachusetts Coalition for Suicide Prevention conference YHC was invited to be included as an example of a peer to peer program which utilizes drama and activities as a core process for connecting peers to each other and to a trusted adult.  The new manual and this listing represent the work of many dedicated school based mental health professionals, Dr. Nadja Reilly of the Swensrud Depression Prevention Initiative of Children’s Hospital Boston, Robert Anthony of Adolescent Wellness, Inc. and all the teens who have had participated in the program.

Bravo and Thank You……..
