Cohasset resident Barbara Green, PhD, has been elected to the Board of Trustees of South Shore Health System Foundation, the philanthropic arm of South Shore Health System, a not-for-profit, charitable provider of acute, outpatient, home health and hospice care to the 600,000 residents of Southeastern Massachusetts.
Dr. Green is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has practiced in Hingham for more than 25 years. She co-founded the Center for Integrative Counseling and Wellness in Hingham, is on the staff of South Shore Health System and is the founder of the Youth Health Connection (YHC), serving as medical director. The YHC’s mission is providing health knowledge and risk prevention to youth and the adults in their lives through collaboration, education and coalition building.
She holds a B.S. in Individual and Family Systems, a M.Ed. in Child and Educational Counseling, and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology, all from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Green is on staff at Walden Behavioral Care, serves on the Clinical Advisory Committee for the Greater New England Multiple Sclerosis Society and is a consultant with the Bozeman, Montana Cancer Support Community.
